Director - Tom Williams

Having graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2017 with a psychology degree, Tom also performed in various shows for the University, and acts with Sheffield based group Dear Hunter Theatre. After co-founding Colla Voce Theatre, he began directing, starting with Colla Voce Theatre’s sellout production of The Last Five Years, then turned his attention to writing, beginning his collaboration with Cordelia O’Driscoll in early 2017 and writing Buried, their first full-length piece of musical theatre. It received The National Student Drama Festival's Edinburgh Award, with British Theatre calling his book ‘perversely charming and entertaining’. Since leaving university, Tom has co-directed a one-man comedy show at the Edinburgh Fringe, An Evening With Captain ‘The Butcher’ Reality, assisted as a musical director on the Playground Theatre’s The Paradise Circus, and co-founded the annual Redgrave Shakesbeer Festival whilst co-directing it’s opening show, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He has recently written a new musical with Cordelia O’Driscoll, You And I, which will premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019, and he could not be more excited to be finally working on his first collaboration with Karam Deo, comedy show Table For One!

Production Manager, Stage Manager & Designer - Jasmin Davies

Jasmin is an award-winning Stage Manager, experienced in Musical, Immersive and Community Theatre. She joined the Colla Voce team as Productions Manager in 2016 where she endeavours to continue making work that challenges social norms and champions the underrepresented. A regular at the National Student Drama Festival, she was awarded The Sunday Times Award for Outstanding Contribution to Technical Theatre for her commitment as a student, and she now returns in a teaching capacity. Jasmin’s stage management credits include Murder For Two (UK Tour, The Other Palace, The Watermill), and Vikki Stone & Katie Mulgrew’s Southbound: A Musical Comedy (The Other Palace), both for Paul Taylor-Mills; Mapping Brent Festival (Kiln Theatre); Beautiful Octopus Club (Southbank Centre); The Crucible Theatre’s Young Company and Launchpad projects; Les Enfants Terribles’ Inside Pussy Riot (Saatchi Gallery); Paperfinch Theatre’s The Nutcracker (Bank Street Arts); and, armed with more stationery than she would care to admit, working with the inmates of Dartmoor Prison to put on Guys & Dolls. Having worked on several Edinburgh shows, including Buried, she is excited to be bringing You And I and Table For One, along with DugOut Theatre & Ed MacArthur’s Humoresque, to the Fringe this year.

Writer & Performer - Karam Deo

Karam Deo started Clinical Dentistry at the University of Sheffield’s Dental School in 2011. In 2017, he graduated with a BSc in Mathematics with French Language. He is currently working as a full-time HR Manager. Following a career pathway that is clear as mud, Karam now considers himself funny enough to write and star in a one-man comedy.

Karam participated extensively in musical theatre throughout his university career, ranging from Bernardo in West Side Story, to Georg in Spring Awakening, even taking on the role of Director for the smash-hit university production of Urinetown

Having worked with Colla Voce on a number of different projects, notably originating the role of Dr Beauregard LaHunty in Colla Voce’s Miscast, Karam is grateful and excited to be back with the old gang again for this new adventure.

Associate Creative Producer - David Snelling

David, originally from Cambridge, graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2017. Whilst attempting to get a degree in Economics he also did far too much student theatre, performing in Sweeney Todd and Urinetown, as well as directing The Producers. Having taken on various roles in producing Colla Voce’s previous show, Buried, he is excited to be helping Karam and Colla Voce Theatre bring Table for One to Edinburgh this year. When David is not working 9-5 in the big smoke he likes to constantly try and drink fewer cups of coffee and make the most of his gym membership once every two months.

Producer - Jack Robertson

Jack is a multi award winning Producer and the co-founder of Colla Voce Theatre, most recently working for Jamie Wilson Productions on the Gloria Estefan musical On Your Feet! (London Coliseum), Nativity! The Musical (Hammersmith Apollo), White Christmas (Dominion Theatre), and for Sonia Friedman Productions. Recently, Jack produced the Cameron Mackintosh Award 2018 winning Buried and took the show to The International Musical Theatre Festival in Brno, Czech Republic. He has also worked on Bunce and Malone’s Departures: A Song Cycle (Pleasance Theatre) and Dear Hunter Theatre’s The Iconoclasts (Greenwich Theatre). This summer, alongside working as a Production Assistant for Underbelly, he is incredibly excited to be producing comedy for the first time. This will be Jack’s fourth Edinburgh Fringe run, and he can’t wait for what is always his favourite month of the year. He has an unhealthy obsession with John Mayer.
